The Epiphone Flying V 70s is modelled on the distinctive models of the 1970s, when the Flying V finally became a rock icon. The two-piece, centre-glued mahogany body is paired with a mahogany neck featuring a Rounded C profile and a volute at the neck-headstock junction – entirely in keeping with the style of its vintage predecessors. The ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets ensures precise response, whilst the shorter 70s Arrowhead headstock with Grover Rotomatic tuners and a Graph Tech nut guarantees stable tuning. In terms of tone, Epiphone relies on T-Type PRO humbuckers, which deliver the rich, sustain-filled sound of classic Flying V models. The instrument is rounded off by a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, a LockTone Stopbar tailpiece, 70s-style details such as ‘witch-hat’ controls, a matching pickguard and black nickel hardware. A premium gig bag is included.
