The PRS McCarty Faded Blue Jean at a glance
The PRS McCarty is a successful tribute by Paul Reed Smith to the legendary guitar maker Ted McCarty. During his active years in the 1950s, McCarty was the leading designer of some of the most famous US-made guitars. He played a significant role in advising a young Paul Reed Smith in his early days as a guitar maker, influencing the unique PRS construction style.
The PRS McCarty incorporates classic design elements inspired by McCarty's vision. It features a proven combination of a mahogany body and a maple top, complemented by a glued mahogany neck. The guitar also includes two PRS McCarty III humbuckers positioned at the neck and bridge, which deliver a clear vintage character.
To complete the instrument, the PRS McCarty is equipped with solid PRS hardware, including a PRS Designed Stoptail and six PRS Phase III tuners with a locking function.
