With the UP-4000 BT, FAME adds an exciting new model to its digital piano range, combining a modern design with cutting-edge features and a powerful, outstanding sound. The 88-key Grand Action keyboard features a weighted hammer action mechanism which, together with 3-sensor technology, ensures a particularly expressive playing experience.
The pull-out keyboard cover protects both the keyboard and the internal components from dust and dirt. The instrument features a music stand that comfortably accommodates several sheets of music and, of course, a tablet. Operating the UP-4000 BT is particularly straightforward thanks to its touch-sensitive display.

The digital sound generation impresses with 40 professional sounds that musically cover a wide range of genres, from all areas of classical music to pop and jazz. The piano sounds, in particular, stand out thanks to their realistic sound reproduction. To allow you to tailor the sounds to your personal taste, there are six reverb types and six chorus variants. The high polyphony of 256 voices is more than sufficient to ensure that no lingering note is lost, even when playing at a fast tempo.
The 88-key Graded Action 3-Sensor Premium (G3P) keyboard features white keys with an ivory-textured finish and black keys with a soft-textured finish, all with individual key action that mimics the feel of playing an acoustic grand piano. Thanks to the 3-Sensor technology used, more nuanced and, above all, significantly faster playing is possible, as the position of the keys is detected not only when they are struck and released, but also at half-way through the keystroke.

The user-friendly control panel features a high-contrast OLED touch display, which makes selecting sounds and changing settings intuitive and straightforward. When not in use, the screen and controls ‘disappear’, preserving the traditional appearance of an acoustic piano. As an alternative to hiding the display, an animated screensaver is available.
The UP-4000 BT offers two recording options: the first is a linear music notation recorder, which records your performance as digital sheet music. The second option is an audio recorder, which records your performance onto a separately available USB stick in MP3 or WAV format and can even play back music tracks in these formats.
The keyboard offers Layer, Split and Dual modes, making it possible to layer two sounds on top of each other (Layer), play a second sound in the lower part of the keyboard with the left hand (Split) or split the keyboard in half so that two people can play the instrument together (Dual).
The built-in metronome is perfect for practising and has a wide tempo range of 5–320 beats per minute.
Other features include 100 popular classical pieces to play along to, as well as 320 learning pieces based on Beyer, Czerny, Burgmüller and Hanon, which allow you to practise and play in a targeted manner.
With such an extensive song library, you may find yourself spending a lot of time searching through menus for a song you already know, which can be time-consuming and inefficient. Fortunately, this instrument offers an innovative song recognition feature powered by AI technology. With this feature, you can play a short melody on the keyboard to find and select the corresponding track within 10 seconds, regardless of whether you play with your left hand, your right hand or both at the same time. Even if the melody you play isn’t perfect, the AI can still find the best-matching piece.

In addition to the analogue stereo inputs and outputs, the digital interfaces are particularly interesting, as MIDI and audio are transmitted via Bluetooth and USB. This means the digital piano can be used to input notes in conjunction with music production software (DAW) and send the sound straight to the computer for recording.
Via Bluetooth, you can connect the instrument to a tablet, for example, to play music from YouTube through the speakers or to use a piano-learning app.
Thanks to two headphone outputs with large and small jack sockets, you can play and practise in a duet at any time of day without disturbing anyone.
The speakers fitted in the UP-4000 BT also benefit from our many years of experience in instrument manufacturing. Separate speakers for different frequency ranges produce a clear, powerful sound with depth. A total of four speakers are installed, delivering an output of 2 x 25 W + 2 x 25 W. Two on each side for bass frequencies (12 cm in diameter) and two for treble frequencies (5 cm in diameter). By incorporating digital control and the Master Equaliser, FAME has succeeded in delivering the sound quality of a far more expensive digital piano.
