Whether for very young beginners, those moving up the ranks, or as a compact travel guitar: the Jack & Danny TL-Mini offers robust single-coil sounds in a handy format. Thanks to its shortened scale length of 564 mm instead of 648 mm, not only are fingerings but also bends much easier to execute. The TL-Mini is fitted with robust tuning machines that not only allow for smooth tuning but also remain consistently in tune. Classic single-coil pickups deliver the twang in the bridge position – a sound that has been highly sought-after for over 60 years – and a warm, round tone at the neck. The sound can be tailored to your own preferences using the master volume and tone controls. The blade switch has three different positions, allowing you to select either the bridge pickup, the neck pickup or both simultaneously. The original three-saddle bridge, with the strings routed through the body, ultimately offers a wide range of adjustment options for intonation and string action.
The G10 Practice Combo, also included in the set, is the perfect complement to the ST-MINI electric guitar for learning your first riffs and songs. This compact guitar amplifier not only features a space-saving design but, with its 10 watts, also offers enough power for your first practice sessions. There is a volume control on board to adjust the amplifier’s volume. In addition, the G10’s basic tone can be adjusted using the two bass and treble controls. The former determines the level of low frequencies, whilst the latter affects the treble. Things get particularly wild when you flick the Drive switch. This switches the amp into Drive mode, delivering wild, distorted sounds perfect for rocking out! Last but not least, there’s a headphone socket on board so you can play and practise silently at any time.
As well as an electric guitar and an amplifier, the set contains pretty much everything you need to get off to a flying start with the electric guitar. Firstly, the J & D ST-MINI Pack comes with a matching gig bag, allowing you to transport the instrument safely and securely to lessons or band rehearsals. The set also includes a handy clip-on tuner, ensuring you’re always perfectly in tune. In addition, there’s an instrument cable to connect to the amplifier, three picks and a guitar strap, so you can get started straight away. And should a string ever snap, replacement strings are also provided.
