The Audeze LCD-S20 is a closed-back, circumaural headphone with a planar magnetic driver that sets new standards for studio applications and critical listening. As the latest addition to the renowned LCD series, the LCD-S20 offers access to Audeze's highly acclaimed sound quality at a particularly attractive price/performance ratio. Equipped with the innovative, patent-pending SLAM™ (Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator) technology, first used in the flagship CRBN2 model, the LCD-S20 delivers impressive bass response and precise spatial imaging.

Construction and impulse response

The closed-back design ensures effective passive noise suppression, making it the ideal companion for Tracking and monitoring in the recording studio. The combination of Fluxor™ magnetic array, Fazor™ phase management and ultra-thin Uniforce™ cone guarantees an exceptionally fast impulse response and minimal distortion below 0.1% at 100 dB SPL. With a frequency range of 10 Hz to 40 kHz, the Audeze LCD-S20 offers a detailed sound reproduction that reproduces both deep bass and the finest treble with nuance.

Thanks to an impedance of 18 ohms and a sensitivity of 93 dB/1mW, the LCD-S20 is versatile and unfolds its full sound potential even with moderate amplifier power from 250 mW.

Neodymium magnets and innovative ear pad system

A new magnetic attachment system for the ear pads provides additional comfort and ease of use. The drivers with a diameter of 90 mm and powerful neodymium N50 magnets deliver a maximum sound pressure level of over 120 dB.

With a weight of 550 grams, the LCD-S20 is designed to be robust yet comfortable for long studio sessions.
