The ECG26 set features D'Addario's heaviest flatwound gauge with the smooth feel and warmth of the Chromes range thereby producing a mellow tone ideal for Traditional Jazz, Rockabilly, R&B and Pop/Rock. The Chromes strings are wound with flattened stainless steel ribbon wire that is polished to form a supremely smooth surface. These strings deliver a distinctive damped sound yet rich in tone.
