The Remo #BB-1120-00-SMT Emperor SMT Coated Bass Drum-Head 20" is characterized by a pre-damped design, which is supported by Sub-Muffl® Technology. With a thickness of 12-mil and a double layer construction (7-mil & 5-mil), it has a high quality construction. The externally applied damping structure with free-floating acoustic foam allows the head and drum body to retain their full sound characteristics while adding additional Attack and low frequencies. The SMT enables a wide tonal spectrum of tuning ranges with controlled highs and mids, coupled with deep, powerful bass tones. This head is one of the most musical and versatile pre-damped bass drum heads on the market. It is ideal for both live performances and recording applications.
