With its Alnico V magnet, the ‘59 delivers a warm and clear tone in the clean channel, whilst in distortion mode it produces crisp highs with a good amount of sustain. Thanks to the vacuum wax potting, the humbucker is well equipped to handle feedback issues. The SH-1’s traditional features include a nickel silver base plate, a 2-core connection cable and, of course, classic AWG42 copper wire, hand-wound on Seymour’s old Leesona winding machine.
The Seymour Duncan SH-1 is a versatile P.A.F.-type humbucker, ideal for genres ranging from country through jazz and blues to heavy rock.
