The Stage 22 Highflex construction can withstand excessive bending and high mechanical stress. This is ensured by a robust PVC outer jacket that is extremely soft and flexible, which enables good reeling and winding motion.

The use of fine-stranded wires ensures high transmission quality, while a dense, spiralling, copper shield protects against other possible interfering signals. It has an optical coverage of 99%, far exceeding the usual 85% thus maximizing protection. Cables such as this with a balanced signal transmission have an additionally useful signal-carrying conductor through which the same voltage is sent, but whose oscillations are mirror-inverted. Since the useful signal consists of opposite-pole voltage values, the interference is also cancelled out by the difference in formation.
