The Echo II DV Desktop from Sonnet is a Thunderbolt expansion system designed to support two PCIe slots for full-height, single-width cards. It enables the use of Thunderbolt-compatible PCIe cards such as video capture, audio, and network cards, as well as SSDs (but not GPUs). With 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 3 ports, it provides a maximum bandwidth of 2880 MB/s per slot, offering fast and efficient data transfer. The system operates silently thanks to temperature-controlled Noctua fans, housed in a robust aluminum casing, and powered by a 400W power supply, with 75W additional power per slot.

Additionally, the ThunderLok 3 fuse securely holds the Thunderbolt cable in place, preventing accidental disconnections, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted connection, even during high-demand tasks. The Echo II DV Desktop is compatible with macOS (including Apple M-series chips), Windows, and Linux, making it a versatile solution for various professional setups.
