Doepfer A-106-5 SEM Multimode Filter est un module de filtre pour synthétiseurs modulaires au format Eurorack. Le filtre multimode -12dB utilise le circuit du module SEM. Le filtre a un passe-bas, un passe-bande et un passe-haut, ce qui permet de disposer d'un passe-bas et d'un passe-haut avec une sortie mixte. Au moyen d'un contrôleur rotatif, cette sortie peut être commutée en continu entre passe-bas et passe-haut par l'intermédiaire d'un coupe-bande (encoche). Le passe-bande est disponible sous forme de sortie séparée. Le module peut être surchargé avec les niveaux de signal habituels d'un VCO, par exemple, avec des distorsions commençant à la position centrale de la commande de niveau.

Doepfer did a great job once again to deliver a product which does exactly what it's supposed to in an affordable and pro-built unit. No surprises except the sound if this thing which is REALLY good. The resonance doesn't self-oscillate, but gives this creamy Oberheim sound. The input level really overdrives the sound past noon, in a really beautiful and effective way. Only this feature worst the price.
I've bought it to replace my wasp who died, I wanted to try a different taste of filter without breaking the bank, this one is really different. I went for this one initally foir two reasons : the input socket which is in the middle of the module against on top on the wasp, which lets more room to turn the freq knob, and the fact is has inverter on the cv in, which is a game-changer for me.
I might get a second one to mimic the Ms-20 scheme, HP to LP.
