Austrian Audio brengt met de OC818 Studio Set een frisse wind in je studio en biedt een uitzonderlijke oplossing voor de opnameruimte of diverse live-situaties. Als bijzonderheid is hier de focus gelegd op een tweede uitgang waarmee producers, engineers, muzikanten en vooruitstrevende artiesten de achterwaarts gerichte capsule apart kunnen opnemen. Samen met de gratis open source PolarDesigner software voor Mac en PC wordt een ongekende capsulecontrole en polair patroonaanpassing geleverd tussen één en vijf banden met selecteerbare overgangspunten.
Om de Austrian Audio OC818 flexibel in real time te configureren voor complexe live toepassingen of tijdens soundchecks, kan een optionele Bluetooth dongle aan de achterkant van de behuizing worden bevestigd. Vervolgens biedt de PolarPilot app voor Android en iOS toegang tot het gedrag van beide capsules, evenals het hoogdoorlaatfilter en de pad-schakelaar. Deze specifieke tool maakt een ongekende 255 discrete polaire patronen mogelijk tussen figuur-acht, alle cardioïde versies tot omnidirectioneel.
Om optimaal gebruik te maken van de uitgebreide mogelijkheden van de OC818 in mono en stereo, stelt Austrian Audio diverse open source programma's beschikbaar voor Mac en PC. Op dit moment zijn de smartphone app PolarPilot, de plug-ins AmbiCreator en PolarDesigner, en de StereoCreator vier applicaties die zijn toegesneden op de OC818. De toepassingen worden door Austrian Audio voortdurend uitgebreid. De apps zijn hier te vinden.
De Austrian Audio OC818 Studio Det wordt geleverd in een koffer inclusief OC818 grootmembraan condensatormicrofoon, OCS8 microfoonspider, OCH8 microfoonklem, de OCC8 mini-XLR adapter en een OCW8 windkap.
Austrian Audio OC818 Black Studio SetWe were having some problems with either the room or the Mic that we were using (probably the Mic as it was the only one giving us some annoying resonances) and after some consideration, we decided to take a chance and put this mic to the test, recording strings and background vocals. I'm absolutely happy with the result and we managed to get some insanely good recordings with this microphone, which will save us a lot of time when mixing the tracks. I haven't been able to try out all of the additional features yet, but I don't think that this Mic will spend much time inside of its case - and I'm already thinking about getting a second one (and replacing the previous pair - but it may not even be needed with the dual capsule) Also: great service by Music Store Professional and thanks for getting this Mic to us on time to re-record the parts that we wanted. This really saved our recording session this week.
