Boss Micro BR-80 8-Spur Pocket StudioHello
I got this thing as a present, and I like it a lot.
It took me about a week to get to know all possibilities, honestly Im never too quick in these things! But still, if youve never worked with recordings, dont believe anybody stating that you will be able to record in twenty minutes or so. Yet I rate features and handling five stars, because after a week I have tons of possibilities.
As for sound: the built-in mikes work surprisingly well. When I go it, I thought I might need to buy real mikes, but I think I wont buy them. The drum-sounds are really excellent. There are really many of them as well.
The fx-processor for guitar is only very average: they dont hear much difference between stratocaster and Lucille-copy! The distorted sounds are miles away from the fullbodied sound of my Marshall-tube-amp. I record my guitards throught the built-in mike.
The built-in guitar-to-bass-sound is nice, It makes me think like a bass-player, which is nice. (Yes, they do think!)
All by all: nice apparatus to get to know recording. Excellent sound (apart from fx-processor), a nice deal.
