The Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Emerald Green High-gloss Electric Guitar celebrates the 20thanniversary of the Fame brand as a strictly limited special edition featuring high-quality premium tonewoods, a contemporary full specification and excellent playing comfort. The slim mahogany body with a stylish burl poplar top not only showcases its visually appealing details but also offers a comfortable playing position, with the generous cutaways providing unobstructed access across the entire neck. The neck is crafted from mahogany and traditionally glued, whilst the flat “D” profile sits comfortably in the hand, ensuring that every riff or lick flows effortlessly from your fingers on the ebony fingerboard . At the amplifier, the tried-and-tested combination of a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz at the neck and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB at the bridge delivers versatile sounds ranging from pop, blues and rock, which are expanded to include authentic single-coil tones thanks to coil-split. The integrated piezo pickup system also provides first-class acoustic guitar sounds, meaning there are no limits to tonal variety and musical expression. Thanks to its versatile pickup configuration, the Fame Forum IV Modern offers exceptional tonal flexibility. With a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB at the bridge and a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz at the neck, it features a tried-and-tested humbucker pairing that delivers the right sound for every genre from blues, pop and rock right through to metal. The bridge pickup impresses with its high output and the immense presence of its sharply focused mids, whilst the neck pickup brings every note to life with endless sustain and a warm vintage tone. Thanks to the coil-split circuit, authentic single-coil sounds with their typically bell-like, clear tone are also available.
In addition to the magnetic pickups, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary is equipped with a GraphTech Ghost piezo pickup system, which is integrated into the bridge and features an active preamp. Pulling the front volume control activates the system, which then delivers authentic acoustic guitar sounds to the amplifier, featuring brilliant highs and the characteristic attack response. The volume of the piezo system can be adjusted via the rear potentiometer, allowing for blended sounds with the Seymour Duncan magnetic pickups.
Last but not least, the Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl impresses with high-quality hardware that performs with absolute reliability on stage and in the studio. From the traditional Stopbar tailpiece, the strings are routed over the GraphTech Resomax Tune-O-Matic bridge, whose string saddles, made from String-Saver graphite material, house the Ghost piezo elements. The Black TUSQ nut is also from GraphTech, behind which the strings are held at the headstock by precision Gotoh locking tuners.

The body is crafted from Khaya mahogany with a top made of poplar burl , whose unique grain is skilfully highlighted by the finish. Fame Forum IV Modern 20th Anniversary Burl Emerald Green Gloss #26051816Als amateur gitarist zocht ik een betaalbare en toch kwalitatief hoogwaardige elektrische gitaar om toe te voegen aan mijn voornamelijk akoestische gitaarverzameling.
Het moest een veelzijdig instrument zijn met splitable humbuckers. Een piëzo element was niet noodzakelijk, maar vanwege de geringe meerprijs toch voor gekozen.
En daar heb ik geen spijt van. Ruim palet aan geluiden mogelijk, klinken zowel clean als met ruime gain erg goed. Het piëzo geluid kan niet helemaal op tegen duet geluid van een goede akoestische gitaar, versterkt op een akoestische versterker maar voegt zeker en dimensie toe met mooie boventonen. De blend optie tussen de humbuckers en de piëzo is goed uit te regelen. Ik mis alleen een toonregeling op de gitaar, dat moet echt op de versterker gebeuren. Vandaar 4 sterren voor geluid.
De gitaar kwam in een doos met hard schuim en dat was tijdens transport helemaal stuk gegaan. Maar de gitaar was smetteloos en zonder enig gebrek. Keurig afgewerkt en schitterende lakkwaliteit. Mooie kwaliteit stemmechanieken, alle schakelaar voelen degelijk aan en geven vertrouwen voor een lange levensduur.
Ik heb de brug iets hoger afgesteld, de lage snaren rammelden iets. Dat was een klusje van 2 minuten.
De bijgeleverde hoes is keurig en degelijk, wel iets aan de ruime kant. Ik had graag gezien dat er iets van een gebruiksaanwijzing was bijgevoegd. Hoewel de bediening snel duidelijk wordt, was dat handig geweest.
Verder waren 2 uitgangen, eentje voor de humbuckers en eentje voor het piëzo element handig geweest. Maar in deze prijsklasse komt dat eigenlijk niet voor.
Kortom, voor mij is dit een hele fijne gitaar waarvan de kwaliteit me zeer heeft verrast. Zeer aanbevolen.
En de levering van MusicStore was wederom niet te overtreffen. Ik ken geen bedrijf wat zo snel en accuraat bestellingen weet te (laten) bezorgen. Altijd binnen 24 uur naar Nederland en dat lukt vaak niet eens met lokale leveranciers! Top!
This is how price vs quality should be. If it had a big brand name on the headstock price would be tripple.
