De Ibanez Standard SR505E-SBD Surreal Black Dual Burst heeft een eenvoudig concept dat het legendarische speelcomfort van het Soundgear ontwerp combineert met hoogwaardige en functionele kenmerken. Ibanez gebruikt een okoumé body in het bekende gestroomlijnde ontwerp, terwijl de comfortabele "SR5" hals is gemaakt van vijfdelige jatoba en walnoot. Op de basversterker, de Ibanez SR505E met twee Bartolini BH2 pickups en de actieve Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band toonregeling dekt een breed geluidsspectrum, waardoor het een allrounder is voor bijna elke muziekstijl. Last but not least heeft de Ibanez standaard SR505E-SBD Surreal Black Dual Burst een Ibanez Accu-Cast B500 basbrug en Die-Cast bas mechanica.
De Ibanez Standard SR505E-SBD Surreal Black Dual Burst is voorzien van een okoumé body die dankzij het ergonomisch gebogen ontwerp goed op de speler past en een evenwichtige positie inneemt op zowel de dij als de basband. Bovendien zorgt het extreem slanke en soepel lopende "SR5" profiel van de geschroefde, vijfdelige hals van Jatoba en notenhout voor een hoog speelcomfort op alle 24 fretten van de Jatoba toets.
Voor de elektrische geluidsomzetting gebruikt de Ibanez SR505E-SBD Surreal Black Dual Burst twee Bartolini BH2 pickups. Uitgerust met blade pole stukken, leveren de bashumbuckers een gearticuleerd geluid met een strakke basfundering, brede midrange en een zijdezacht treble spectrum dat de ideale basis vormt voor grooves tussen blues, pop, jazz, rock en metal. Om het geluid aan te passen is er ook een actieve Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band toonregeling aan boord, met een centrale frequentie die driemaal kan worden omgeschakeld. De EQ bypass schakelaar maakt het ook mogelijk om de vijfsnaren in de klassieke passieve modus af te spelen.
Last but not least overtuigt de Ibanez Standard SR505E-SBD Surreal Black Dual Burst met zijn hoogwaardige, onverwoestbare hardwareapparatuur. De Ibanez Accu-Cast B500 brug met zijn solide constructie ondersteunt de basrespons en ondersteunen, terwijl vier afzonderlijk instelbare snaarrijders een optimale aanpassing van de intonatie en snaarpositie garanderen. Vijf Ibanez Die-Cast basstemmers op de kop zorgen voor een exacte en stabiele stemming.
Ibanez SR505E-SBD Standard (Surreal Black Dual Fade)It sounds and play great, which is for me the main reason I bought it. only you may find some imperfections, only cosmetically. It took me a few months until I decide to make the order. I did my search and made all kind of comparisons to lower and higher models of this bass. It is twice expensive than 306, and a few hundred cheaper than 606, and I think it is worth the price especially for the flawless fret work, the Bartolini pickup and the bridge. you may find other basses on this price range, but non of them will have Bartolini or an Ibanez bridge where you can adjust the space between the strings. also the place of truss rod adjustment hole is unexpectedly useful. and it has only one truss rod which is also a plus for me; I have no idea about twin truss rod thing. also I need to mention about the finish of this bass, here and there you may find it is easy to damage it, no it is not. surely unless you are at learning process or play beastly, you can damage anything I guarantee you. otherwise the finish is pretty decent. also using the eq is simple, only you should constantly consider the high pass is also a tone control on passive mode. the pick ups are passive and the eq is active with a battery, and if you play on passive mode, so you are not using eq, and if the low pass on 12 o'clock, it means your tone control stays on 12 o'clock, probably you are clever than me to realise that faster, but it would be good to know anyway.
