"No Coast", of "Zero Coast".
This is a pretty complex machine in the sense that it isn't exactly a plug and play, instant gratification synth. Sure you can get a nice sound out of it right out of the box, but once you get a feel for how the patching works wonderful things can start to happen. Good for hours of fun and a great introduction to modular synthesis.
Adventurous synthesizer with a great sound. Capable of superb bass, FM, piercing leads and insane modular mayhem. More west coast than east but that was exactly what i was looking for. Well-built, it comes with a set of patch cables that are just enough to get started but i would advice you to get at least 5 more. And some stackables for even more craziness.
This is another type of synthesis. Don't expect the fat saws and squelchy filters, but something new and revealing. Not recommended as your first synth, but should be in first place on your wish list as second!
The 0 coast is what I've always been looking for in a single synth. Small, powerful, flexible, deep, immediate, stylish. Midi, CV control, external audio input, arpeggiator, patching. It is well designed, well made, and sounds amazing. There are many videos from Make Noise online, which help you with creatively patching the 0 coast. The manual (digital only) is informative and well written. Recommended.
