After picking up this guitar for the first time when you take it out of the gigbag, the craftmanship put into it immediately catches the eye. The paintjob is truly amazing and the carving is a true masterpiece.

When you look at the knobs, the bridge, the neck, the head, ... you notice that everything is well in place, with good materials. There was a lot of eye for detail like the carvings on the right place, the small indents where the knobs are and the rounded edges of the bridge, just to name a few.

Then you plug in the guitar and when the first notes blast out of your amplifier the power of the humbuckers stand out like a red flag on a bull fight. The coil split makes the entire guitar even more versatile. The sound is just awesome.

I could find two downsides for this guitar, the first being the tremolo system, which you just insert instead of screwing in. Whatever they say, the tremelo bar does not stay put and gravity has its way with it. The second thing is the place where the neck is connecting with the body. The connection could have been way smoother and it more looks like two separate pieces roughly bolt together (it's a bolt-on, yes) than a whole. Very unfortunate for this quality guitar.

After playing it a few hours, I find it not being a very fast playing shred guitar (like my ESP eg), but better suited for a more mellow blues/jazz kind of vibe, though a good rock riff is certainly not outside of its ability. This is, however, a personal taste perhaps.

It's a very enjoyable instrument that you will pick up very regularly.
