This bass reached me on a cold cold day. My kids knew it was coming so it was allready unpacked when I arrived. It was stunning looking.
Fretting looked straight. Laquer was impeccable. The neck glossy but tinted lacked. The inlays done to perfections. The strings were not yet set on tention. And wrapped in paper.
The bass comes with two wrenches. One is for string hight. One is for neck tension. Safe them good.
The binding of the neck looks gorgeous. And on the side in the black binding there are white dots at 3 5 and 12 so it is really convenient even at low light. You cannot feel the inlays as everything is lacked in high gloss. A neck done to a T.
I can feel the frets at the underside of the neck. I assume humidity in China was somewhat different than it is here. I may have to sand them a little. But this can happen to any bass. And I will lovingly do so if needed.
The neck of my bass was allready had a great setup. So That night I took it out to band practice.
The head of the neck is slightly bigger than a Fender. And slightly thinner. My bandmates commented that they thought the bass sounds somewhat more resonating then my Precision. A bandmate played the bass too. Because he thought it to be a kick ass instrument. And I agree.
I have played lots of jazz basses as I do P.A. work. And as F.O.H. engineer I tend to setup peoples instruments. And because of this I have played on many great basses and guitars. And All I can say.... This bass is a great player. The pickups sound nice... Nothing wrong with them. And all the knobs are sturdy and the potmeters used give a convincing and great feel...
A friend of mine bought one of these too. And he agrees. This is a player!!!
This bass comes carefully packed and the Musicstore team keeps you informed from the moment you pay, when they receive payment, up untill the moment the courier reaches for your doorbell...
I am amazed and I am so stoked to call myself owner of this amazing blue bass. I am quite sure you will be too.
