With the LTD H-401QM the Japanese metal ESP specialist presents a noble guitar for the hard gait, which can convince in sound as well as in optical matters. The vivid grain of the noble cloudy maple ceiling has an almost three-dimensional effect and is reminiscent of the refraction of light on wave combs.
Equipped with active EMG pickups, the ESP LTD H-401QM also delivers a more than convincing metal board. At the bridge sits the legendary 81, the industry standard for hard sounds, which cuts its way through the band sound with tight basses, focused mids and concise highs even during drop tunings. The pickup follows the player's instructions with precise attack, so that even fast and complex riffs with tight definition pop out of the loudspeakers. At the neck sits with the 85 a more moderate representative, who offers the perfect basis for singing solos and fat licks with his classical, warm Humbucker -sound. The LTD H-401QM's active EMGs are also convincing on clean amplifiers, where they make melodies and arpeggios sparkling with bell-like transparency and harmonically reproduce chords with balanced string separation.
The flat neck with Thin U profile and flat fingerboard gives the ESP LTD H-401QM an incomparable playing comfort that provides the perfect foundation for agile riffs and virtuoso solos. Here the neck/body transition flowing through the " Set-Thru " construction in conjunction with the wide cutaways allows unhindered access to the high registers, so that the full range of two octaves is available.
The ESP LTD H-401QM uses a modern Hardtail bridge with a flat profile and edgeless surface that provides a comfortable support surface for the hand when playing palm mutes or similar techniques.
