The Gibson ES-355 VOS Bigsby Dark Rosewood Fingerboard Sixties Cherry is a particularly elegant interpretation of the classic semi-acoustic electric guitar, whose elaborate custom appointments are an absolute eye-catcher. In terms of construction, Gibson uses the traditional semi-acoustic recipe and manufactures the body from the typical maple-poplar laminate with solid centre block, while the neck is made of mahogany and carries a fingerboard made of dark rosewood. Two Gibson MHS humbuckers deliver typical Alnico vintage sounds for blues and rock. Last but not least, a Bigsby Vibrato, the proven Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners complete the Gibson ES-355 VOS.

Back, top and sides of the body are made of the traditional maple-poplar laminate.
The construction of the Gibson ES-355 VOS follows the classic design for semi-hollow electric guitars. Accordingly, the back, top and sides of the body are made of a three-layer maple/poplar laminate, so that an airy response is combined with the warm wood resonance to create the typical sound. The massive center block made of Silver Leaf Maple prevents undesired feedback at high volumes. Last but not least, the glued mahaogni neck with the "Rounded C" profile lets every note on the dark rosewood fingerboard go comfortably out of your hand.
Two Gibson MHS humbuckers with MTC Premiere circuit deliver versatile vintage sounds for blues and rock.
The electric tone conversion of the Gibson ES-355 VOS Bigsby is done by a Gibson MHS rhythm humbucker on the neck and Gibson MHS lead humbucker on the bridge. As authentic PAF replicas, they deliver a warm yet transparent Alnico vintage sound that captures the resonance of the semi-hollow construction with organic dynamics and thus provides the perfect sound basis for classical blues and rock. With the help of the hand-wired Gibson MTC Premiere circuit, which realizes the classic '50s Wiring with matching volume and tone potentiometers as well as "Orange Drop" capacitors, versatile sounds can be called up.

Last but not least, the Gibson ES-355 convinces with high-quality hardware equipment in authentic vintage style. The tailpiece is a classic Bigsby B-7 Vibrato tailpiece, which enriches melodies and chords with shimmering pitch modulations. From here, the sides are led over the proven Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, whose solid brass string riders support the resonance and vibrancy of the electric guitar.
