Five-string electric bass with roasted maple neck, neodymium humbucker and active electronics, including case

The Music Man StingRay 5 Special MN Black E-Bass convinces thanks to the optimized body design and the revised electronics with a particularly comfortable handling and a variable sound that always shows the typical StingRay character. Construction-wise, the five-string features a body made of selected hardwood and a five-piece bolted neck made of roasted maple, while the sculpted neck joint and the slim neck profile create optimal playing conditions. The powerful Music Man standard neodymium humbucker with 3-band tone control sorgt furthermore for a detailed and variable sound representation, whereby even the low B-string is perfectly reproduced. Last but not least, the StingRay 5 Special bass guitar comes with lightweight Music Man Custom bass tuners specially designed for this model and a Music Man Vintage top-load bridge.

The Music Man StingRay 5 Special MN Black comes with an optimized design and revised electronics.

Classic wood selection with high playing comfort

With the StingRay 5 Special Music Man relies on a classic wood selection that guarantees a crisp and balanced output from the low B to the high G string. Accordingly, the bass guitar has a body made of carefully selected hardwood and an extremely stable neck made of Roasted Maple, whose maple fingerboard carries 22 stainless steel frets in the "High Profile, Wide" format. With the optimized lines of the body, the Bass furthermore sits comfortably on the body, while the C-neck profile in a wax-oil finish lets every groove come out of the fingers easily.

A powerful Music Man neodymium humbucker, whose coils offer three different switching options, and an active 3-band tone control promise versatile bass sounds.

The electrical tone conversion of the StingRay 5 Special MN Black takes over a Music Man Standard Neodymium Humbucker specially developed for this model, whose powerful magnets guarantee a powerful and defined output of all strings. Via the 3-way blade switch, the coils of the humbucker can be called up in three combinations. The parallel connection delivers the typical StingRay sound with tight bass foundation and brilliant highs, while the serial mode provides an extremely powerful sound with high assertiveness. Also available is a filtered series circuit that delivers a lean tone with single-coil character. With the active 3-band tone control, which has an enormous headroom thanks to 18 volts supply, the sound can be adjusted furthermore precisely.

Five lightweight Music Man Custom machine heads guarantee stable and accurate tuning of the Music Man StingRay 5 Special MN Black.

Lightweight Hardware

Last but not least, the StingRay 5 Special MN Black from Music Man convinces with a perfectly coordinated hardware equipment. The headstock features Music Man Custom Lightweight tuners in the typical "4+1" arrangement, which guarantee a precise Tuning and counteract head heaviness through the use of lightweight materials. On top of the body sits the Music Man Vintage Top-Load bridge made of steel, whose mass supports the sound development and Sustain of the five-stringer.
