With the PRS Custom 24 Swamp Ash Purple Smoked Burst, the Marylander guitar maker continues the tradition of the model that has been firmly established since the NAMM Show in 1985. Equipped with a solid curly maple top on the body, PRS 85/15 humbuckers and the typical PRS tremolo, this electric guitar sets optical as well as tonal highlights and convinces with flawless workmanship.

For the construction of the PRS Custom 24 Swamp Ash Purple Smoked Burst the guitar builders around Paul Reed Smith only use selected woods, which lead to a perfect sound experience. Carefully selected sump ash is used for the body, while the solid curly maple top is bordered by the natural binding typical of PRS, in which the edges of the top are not stained. The glued maple neck with its well-shaped "Pattern Thin" profile offers the perfect balance between rich grip and smooth playability. On the maple fingerboard, traditional bird inlays provide the best orientation between the 24 frets.
The PRS Custom 24 uses two PRS 85/15 humbuckers, which were personally developed by Paul Reed Smith on the occasion of the company's 30th anniversary. These pickups convince with their clear sound, whose extended bass and treble spectrum offers the perfect basis for classical and modern sounds, from warm sparkling clean to singing overdrive to pressing riffs. The 3-way toggle switch and the general volume and tone controls can be used to call up a wide range of tones. It is also possible to split both humbuckers into single coils, so that particularly dynamic sounds with bell-like tone development are available.
The equipment of the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Swamp Ash Purple Smoked Burst is completed by high-quality hardware from our own company. On the body side, the strings are supported by the proven PRS Gen III tremolo, which convinces with smooth handling and high functionality and offers a pleasant support thanks to rounded edges of the hand. At the headstock the strings run with straight tension from the saddle to the PRS Phase III locking mechanisms. These guarantee a high tuning stability even with frequent use of vibrato and make string changes much easier. The PRS Custom 24 is also delivered in a noble PRS case, which offers the electric guitar the best possible protection during transport.
