The Spector Euro 5 LX-TW Natural Stain Gloss is a 5-string bass from Stuart Spector's team. The popular series from European production, now more than 40 years old, convinces with powerful EMG humbuckers, the best tonewoods and high-quality hardware from Schaller. With the Euro 5 LX-TW Spector presents the popular Neck Thru construction of the Euro with a top made of curly maple and the in-house active Spector Tone Pump electronics with up to 18dB bass and treble boost.
The Spector Euro 5 LX is a real noble bass with zebrawood top, continuous neck and active electronics.
The Spector Euro 5 LX-TW Natural Stain Gloss has a continuous neck made of three strips of maple reinforced with graphite rods and a rosewood fingerboard. The body wings glued to the neck consist of an alder back and a curly maple top, which are separated by a layer of walnut. In combination with the 35" scale, this construction delivers a very defined basic sound with pronounced attack and long sustain, which has a particularly positive effect on the sound of the low B-string. Due to the curved body and the fluently designed neck and body transition, the Spector Euro 5 LX also has very good ergonomics and comfortable playability.
The active EMG 40CS-TW humbuckers in the neck and bridge position of the Spector Euro 5 LX deliver a very broadband, defined sound with excellent dynamics. The low H-string is also transmitted cleanly. In addition, the pickups can be split to provide single-coil-like sounds. The active Spector TonePump tone control allows the treble and bass to be increased by up to 18 db, which allows the sound character to be adjusted very effectively. The Spector Euro 5 LX-TW is also equipped with the well-known massive Spector Locking Bridge, which supports the fast attack and long sustain of the Spector Euro 5 LX-TW. High-quality Gotoh bass tuners also guarantee precise and stable tuning.
