With the DTX Hybrid Extension Pack Yamaha Drums offers a perfect solution to upgrade your acoustic drum set. For the first time, Yamaha offers a complete bundle that makes it easy to integrate electronic sounds into the setup. The components of the DTX Hybrid Extension Pack in detail:
The DTX502 sound module is the heart of the Yamaha DTX502 series: a powerful module with extensive additional functions and all necessary interfaces for professional music production. The internal memory contains 691 sounds from drums and percussion, 50 preset kits cover the whole range of traditional styles like rock, pop and jazz and also contemporary music like dubstep, hip hop or punk. A special feature of the DTX502 module is the possibility to load own WAV samples with max. 12 seconds length into the module to retrieve them with the triggers and pads.
The DTX Hybrid Extension Pack contains two mono drum pads as tom pads and the 3-zone pad XP100SD as snare pad. All pads feature the Yamaha TCS (Textured Cellular Silicone) playing surface, which has a unique texture that is almost identical to an acoustic set.
The DT20 triggers are simply attached to the edge of the skin. They have significantly larger sensors than the DT10 triggers, which also increases their sensitivity. This enables the DT20 triggers to track even the finest touches of the skin and to direct the corresponding signal towards the sound module.
To integrate all components of the DTX Hybrid Extension Pack into the setup, two tom holders and 3 multi clamps are already included;
