The Gibson Les Paul Modern Lite TV Wheat blends the iconic features of the classic Les Paul with modern design touches for enhanced playability. The traditional all-mahogany body has been slimmed down and lightened for better balance on the strap. A belly cut on the back adds extra comfort for long playing sessions. Tonally, the guitar delivers the signature Les Paul sound with a Gibson 490R humbucker at the neck and a 498T humbucker at the bridge. The hardware includes six Grover Mini Rotomatics tuners, along with the classic Gibson Nashville Tune-o-Matic and Stopbar tailpiece, ensuring stability and precise tuning.
The Gibson Les Paul Modern Lite offers classic LP sounds and modern playability.
The guitar itself is great, but mine arrived with a serious QC issue: the rosewood fretboard edge from about the 12th fret upward is rough and sharp, with a spiky “jigsaw” feel when sliding my hand. Disappointing on a new instrument and not what I expect from Gibson.
