Hollowbody construction with ML bracing

For its full and dynamic sound, the Gretsch G6118T Players Edition Anniversary Hollow Body Bigsby Two-Tone Copper/Sahara draws on its enormous body volume with a body depth of 2.5". Traditional maple laminate is used for the top, back and sides, while the tried-and-true ML Bracing creates the perfect balance of vibrancy and stability. The two-tone Copper Metallic and Sahara Metallic body is finished off with a white Binding binding and additional black purfling.

FT-67 Filter'Trons with revised Wiring

The two redesigned Gretsch FT-67 Filter'Tron pickups in the neck and bridge positions of the Gretsch G6118T Players Edition Anniversary Hollow Body Bigsby Two-Tone Copper/Sahara aim for classic Vintage Gretsch voicing, but feature some modernized tweaks for today's applications. For example, the dual coils produce a characterful sound with clear highs rich in overtones, a present mid-range and tight bass. Under the hood, however, the Master Volume's Treble Bleed Circuit, a No-Load tone pot and classic 'squeezebox' PIO capacitors provide absolute control over the treble content at any volume setting.
