Evans '56 Series

With the Evans '56 Series, the American manufacturer taps into the trend for the classic drum sounds of the 1950s and ’60s. The Calftone heads are made from a modern Mylar blend that captures the sound and look of traditional calfskin, while offering clear advantages in durability and tuning stability.

The Mylar film used in the Calftone heads has a thickness of 12 mil, which is just over 0.3 mm. The special material blend produces very warm, full-bodied tones with the sustain typical of natural calfskin. In addition to the standard version, the Calftone heads are also available in two variants: EQ4 Calftone and EMAD Calftone.
