4ms MetaModule for all situations!
With the MetaModule, 4ms has achieved a great success, because it is THE universal module for all situations! In fact, the MetaModule is exactly what you need right now: a complete bassline patch including sequencer, a through-modulated cloud effect, a filter array, a multiple modulation source consisting of envelopes, LFOs and function generators, a polyphonic drum set, a virtual Hardware VCO, a 3x 8-step CV sequencer including clock divider, CV mixer and sample & hold... The only limits are set by the computing power of the CPU and your own creativity.
A few years ago, outside the Eurorack world, the VCV Rack. This is a virtual, modular synthesizer platform for Windows, Mac and Linux that simulates the working methods and aesthetics of well-known manufacturers alongside original modules. In VCV Rack, you can create complete patches and use them like a normal plug-in from providers of ready-made solutions. The MetaModule is not only compatible with the VCV Rack modules and ready-made patch presets, but also brings them back to the Eurorack!
Patches can be created, edited and labeled directly in the module. Each physical controller can be assigned up to eight virtual controllers including Offset and inversion. Modules can be added and exchanged in real time. The eight high-resolution inputs and outputs can also be freely assigned. An exception are the two gate inputs, which can also be used for sync, Clock and reset. All other connections are designed equally for audio and control voltage.
The MetaModule is equipped with over 160 modules ex works. These include in-house modules from 4ms itself, but also excellent replicas from Befaco and Nonlinear Labs as well as virtual implementations of the popular Mutable Instruments modules. Modules from HetrickCV, Valley and Eightfold are also part of the basic equipment. Over 600 third-party modules are currently available, and counting! All included modules are also available on the computer with the free VCV Rack program. Conveniently create your Patch on the large screen and transfer it to the module, of course this also works the other way round.
The processor tops everything that 4ms has ever used before and is one of the most powerful processors to be found on Eurorack. This refers to the startup time, the loading of patches and the ultra-short latency.
