Classic AKG sound, rethought

The AKG C114 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone that is audibly based on AKG's long studio tradition and is clearly in the here and now. The capsule is based on the classic edge terminated design, as known from legendary models, and delivers exactly what you want in the studio. An open treble, clean mids and a bass range that is present without booming. Whether vocals, acoustic guitar, amp, piano or speech, the C114 quickly feels at home.

Three polar patterns for real freedom

With cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-of-eight polar patterns, the AKG C114 covers a wide range. Solo Vocal in the home studio, room recordings, Stereo setups or interviews with two people, one touch on the microphone and you're in the right mode. This flexibility makes the C114 interesting not only for classic music productions, but also for podcasts, streaming and content creation, where setups change more often than the coffee gets cold.

Clear, direct and amazingly resilient

Thanks to the transformerless FET circuit, the signal remains clean and direct. Even loud sources do not disturb the microphone. With up to 145 dB sound pressure, the C114 can easily handle drums, brass or guitar amps at close range. At the same time, the self-noise is pleasantly low at 12 dBA, which reproduces quiet vocals and fine details just as well. The result sounds open, controlled and very honest without being sterile.

Modern studio tool with responsibility

The housing of the AKG C114 is made from completely recycled metals and the accessories and packaging have also been designed with sustainability in mind. This is not noticeable in the sound, but in the good feeling of using a tool that not only fits the times technically, but also conceptually.
