The API Select SR24 is a two-channel equalizer with four bands per channel in a 19-inch, two rack unit chassis. It offers four semi-parametric EQs per channel with continuous pots for frequencies and gain. Each channel can also be taken out of the signal path via a relay-controlled bypass for easy A/B comparison.
Design with history
The SR24 is based on the design of the 562 EQ from APSI, a subsidiary of API from the 1970s and 1980s. To this day, the 562 EQ remains a popular tool among professional audio engineers but is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain as it is no longer manufactured. API aims to remedy this by launching the SR24, a model carefully modeled after the original. Users have two channels of the classic analogue equalizer available in a two rack unit chassis.
