Jazz style and improvisation

Intermediate Jazz Conception for Tenor Saxophone contains 15 medium to advanced solo studies on standards, modal melodies and blues, presented by Jim Snidero together with the rhythm section consisting of Dave Hazeltine on piano, Peter Washington on bass and Kenny Washington on drums. In addition, there is an appendix with information on style and improvisation, including a scale list, nomenclature and over 95 selected melody lines and ideas for learning to improvise.

All etudes are available online in two versions. One recording with the soloist and the rhythm section and one with the rhythm section only.
