Product information - After Later Audio Enigma

CV Expander for Alan and Benjolin V2

  • Expander for Alan & Benjolin V2
  • 5-bit digital-to-analog converter
  • generates variable CVs from Alan's gates
  • Random control voltages
  • multiple Enigma expanders are cascadable
  • ideal for complex random sequences
  • also suitable for Turing machine

Enigma by After Later Audio is a CV expansion module for Alan and Benjolin V2. The expander works like a variable 5-bit digital-to-analogue converter that taps 5 bits from the gates expansion port of Alan (or the Turing Machine), runs them through five controls, and provides a summed voltage output. The result is a control voltage that is related to, but different from, the main output. Several Enigma expanders can be connected in series from an Alan sequencer to create different sequences at the expander outputs. The module comes with the necessary cables to connect it to the Alan or Benjolin V2 main modules.
