With the Aguilar Octamizer Gen2, the New Yorker amp and effect specialists present a reissue of the analogue Octaver for E-Bass, which convinces with its characterful sound and a fresh design with a practically clear user interface. Thus, the pedal adds an octave below the played tone, so that a fat organic bass sound is on the program. In addition to the separate level controls for direct and effect signals, a "Clean Tone" control is available, which either emphasizes the treble and cuts the bass foundation or emphasizes bass and reduces the treble via a tilt EQ. The "Octave Filter" control also determines the sound character of the octavated tone via a multi-pole low-pass filter. A special feature is furthermore the gig saver bypass, which routes the signal to the output in case of an empty battery and thus allows further playing.
