With the Nitro E-Drum Kit, Alesis offers a compact electronic drums system equipped with snare, kick and 3 tom pas as well as 3 cymbals, sound module and drumrack. The low noise rubber pads and the almost 400 drum and percussion sounds, the Alesis Nitro Kit is a great choice for beginners for practicing and fun.
The drum pads of the Nitro Kit are velocity sensitive, meaning the volume and intensity of the sound depends on the force used when striking the pad. The snare pad comes as a dual zone pad which allows you to assign a different sound to the rim. Play rimshots just like on an acoustic snare. The sound of the crash pad can be stopped by hand with the choke function.
With 385 sounds and samples, the Alesis Nitro Kit sound module offers a large selection of classic and modern sounds. The user can select from 40 pre-programmed drumkits or create their own kit. For practicing, the module comes with 60 playalong songs. The Nitro Kit also has a metronome so you can work on your timing. A highlight is the integrated sequencer and the performance recorder which allows you to record your playing.
Additionally to the USB MIDI port for connection to computers, the Nitro sound module also offers a pair of old school MIDI in- and outputs which allows you to connect the module to other drum machines and modules. The headphone input is great for quiet practicing, the stereo outputs allow you to connect speakers, PA or recording equipment. The stereo AUX input is used for external sound sources such as CD and MP3 players.
