Chorus effect pedal with four sound modes and extensive control options
The Alexander Pedals Sugarcube is the secret weapon for fans of traditional and experimental chorus sounds. Based on classic chorus effects of the eighties, the pedal offers four sound modes that can be combined with a spatial rotary effect oderPitch Shifter to create a huge variety of modulating sounds. Furthermore, the Sugarcube provides extensive possibilities for modulation and real-time control via expression, MIDI, as well as via the internal ramp function.

Four Chorus modes
The heart of the Alexander Pedal Sugarcube is its four selectable sound modes. In Chorus Mode, a traditional chorus effect awaits the player, which, controlled via the Mix knob, provides the classic spectrum from dry signal to a juicy chorus effect to vocal vibrato sounds. Characterful 4-button sounds are available in Dimension Mode, which provides flanger-like sounds via its additional feedback control. Rotary adds the spatial effect of a rotating speaker, while Ice Mode features an additional Pitch shifter.
Extensive control options
The real-time control of the Sugarcube is done in many ways. On the one hand, the internal ramp function of the left footswitch is available, which can be activated via Hold oderTap and switches smoothly to a second knob setting. The ramp rate determines the speed at which the sound changes between the two. The Multijack can also be controlled via expression pedaloderfootswitch, which even allows access to almost all effect parameters with an external MIDI controller.
USB connection and stereo operation
Also for MIDI control and installing firmware updates, the Alexander Pedals Sugarcube has an additional USB port located on the front of the pedal. Especially for stereo setups and recording purposes, the pedal's Output is designed as a TRS jack, which provides a spatial representation of the effect when a TRS Y-cable is connected in stereo mode, oder in mono mode wet and dry signal are reproduced on separate paths to mixers, interfaces oder two amplifiers.
