At the heart of the system is a responsive 9-inch touchscreen with a redesigned, dark user interface that enables quick navigation as well as optimal readability in a wide variety of working environments.
Illuminated rotary controls with a high level of grip ensure a successful combination of visual feedback and direct control.
Thanks to the flexible drag-and-drop function , channels and mixes can be arranged individually on the user interfaces. In addition, customisable names and colour coding allow you to personalise the mixing console to suit your own workflows.
For a quick overview, each channel strip features the patented Chromatic Metering System, which clearly displays level indicators down to -72 dB using LEDs with variable brightness and colour.
In addition, freely assignable SoftKeys enable quick access to frequently used functions, thereby speeding up the workflow. The SQ6+ and SQ7+ models also feature programmable SoftRotaries, adding a further customisable control option.
The SQ6+ console offers all the tools you need for the perfect mix. Each input channel is equipped with a high-pass filter (HPF), an extremely fast-responding gate with sidechain and filter functions, and a freely assignable insert point, a musically tuned 4-band parametric EQ with real-time spectrum analysis (RTA) and a peak/RMS compressor for precise control and shaping of levels and transients.
For the mix, both a parametric equaliser and a 28-band graphic EQ and a compressor are available, which can be activated at any time as required.
SQ+ also includes the latest DEEP Processing extensions . These high-quality emulations of classic analogue hardware are integrated directly into the channel and mix processing, causing no additional latency and can be used simultaneously on all channels. This allows users to benefit from authentic analogue sound whilst enjoying maximum performance and flexibility.

The Allen & Heath SQ+ range features two powerful effects suites with a total of twelve effects engines.
Eight built-in RackExtra FX engines are each available with their own stereo return and provide access to the renowned RackExtra effects collection. This includes high-quality emulations of legendary reverb units, gated reverbs, delays, modulation effects and many more creative sound tools.
Furthermore, SQ+ expands the possibilities with four integrated RackUltra FX engines, each with its own stereo sends and returns. Originally developed for the flagship dLive system and tried and tested on international tours, the RackUltra effects bring first-class reverb algorithms, vocal tuning and pitch-processing tools, distortion and saturation effects, and other professional sound-shaping tools to the platform.
For maximum flexibility, the four RackUltra engines can also run RackExtra effects if required. This provides an exceptionally versatile and powerful effects environment for live and studio mixes.

The SQ+ series offers extensive options for recording, playback, streaming and virtual soundchecks.
Thanks to the integrated USB audio interfaces , multitrack recordings, backing track playback, live streams and virtual soundcheck applications can be carried out with up to 32 input and output channels at 96 kHz or 48 kHz . The interface is class-compliant and is compatible with both macOS and Windows. Using the Allen & Heath MIDI Control software , faders, knobs, channel keys and SoftKeys can also be flexibly assigned to control your preferred DAW.
In addition, the built-in SQ-Drive enables straightforward direct recording and playback to USB storage media, without the need for a computer or external recording software. Depending on the sample rate, up to 16 channels at 96 kHz or 32 channels at 48 kHz be recorded and played back. Alternatively, a simple stereo mix can also be recorded. This makes recordings, playback applications and virtual soundchecks particularly quick and convenient – simply connect a USB storage device and start recording.
With the integrated 128×128 SLink connection , the SQ+ series integrates seamlessly into the entire Allen & Heath I/O ecosystem. This allows for the flexible connection of a wide variety of remote stageboxes, I/O expanders and other consoles from the manufacturer. The intelligent SLink technology ensures simple networking and high system compatibility.
Further expansion options are provided by the dedicated I/O expansion slot, which supports optional interface cards for Dante, MADI, Waves or further SLink connections. This makes the SQ+ equally suitable for demanding fixed installations, complex sound reinforcement systems with FOH and monitor splits, as well as professional broadcast and production environments. The flexible architecture allows for easy adaptation to a wide range of requirements and future expansions.
With the free apps SQ+ MixPad and SQ+ 4You , control of the mixing system becomes significantly more flexible.
Using SQ+ MixPad, the sound engineer can control and monitor the mix from anywhere within the venue, regardless of the mixing console’s location.
At the same time, SQ+ 4You enables up to eight musicians or performers to adjust their own individual monitor mixes directly via an iOS or Android device. This simplifies workflows and allows the sound engineer to concentrate fully on the front-of-house mix.
The integrated Automatic Microphone Mixer (AMM) make SQ+ the ideal solution for conferences, panel discussions and broadcast applications. Two independent AMM systems, each with up to 24 channels can be used in parallel for different areas or combined to combined to form a powerful 48-channel AMM . This enables the automatic and efficient management of multiple microphones, even at larger events.
The SQ+ series has been specially developed to meet the demands of professional live operations. The robust all-metal housing offers high stability and reliability both on tour and in fixed installations. The modern carbon-on-graphite finish with black and white controls ensures a contemporary look whilst being designed for everyday practical use. For added peace of mind, every SQ+ model comes as standard with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty as standard.
