The AlphaTheta CDJ-1500X is a compact DJ multi-player for anyone looking for professional performance features in a space-saving format. It is ideal for bars, small clubs, mobile DJ set-ups and discerning home DJs who have limited space but still require a flexible, modular DJ system. Thanks to its compact design, the player can be easily combined with various mixers, turntables or other DJ equipment and fits even into smaller DJ booths.
At the heart of the system is the large 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, which enables convenient track selection and clear performance control. The browse view displays up to 15 tracks simultaneously, allowing DJs to find the right next track more quickly. In addition, the enhanced waveform display – featuring information on vocal positions, BPM changes and phrase structures – provides greater control when mixing. Playlists can be edited directly on the player without having to switch back to a laptop or re-export tracks to a USB stick.
The CDJ-1500X is also at the cutting edge when it comes to connectivity. Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi, DJs can access their cloud-based music library via rekordbox CloudDirectPlay. In addition, the player supports StreamingDirectPlay for Apple Music, Beatport Streaming and Tidal. Using NFC login with rekordbox for iOS or Android, personal settings and playlists can be quickly accessed, which is particularly handy for mobile DJs and when switching between set-ups.
To encourage more interaction with the audience, the AlphaTheta CDJ-1500X supports the new CoBeat service ( available from 9 July 2026). This allows guests to submit song requests via a QR code or vote on pre-selected tracks. The requests appear directly on the player’s display and can be integrated into the set as required. At the same time, the DJ retains control at all times and can activate or deactivate CoBeat depending on the situation.
For creative performances, the CDJ-1500X offers, amongst other features, 8 hot cue buttons, Beat Sync, Beat Jump and a Beat Loop control, which allows loops to be started quickly at the desired beat length. The medium-sized jog wheel features a rotation indicator and a non-slip surface, allowing the player to be operated precisely and safely.
The design is also tailored for professional use. The matt black casing has an understated, high-quality look. On the front panel is an illuminated compartment with USB-A and USB-C ports, allowing USB drives to be stored safely and neatly. The LED lighting can be customised in 12 colours, and optional side panels can be fitted for further personalisation.
The AlphaTheta CDJ-1500X thus combines professional CDJ control, modern cloud and streaming functions, and a compact design. It is a powerful solution for DJs and venues seeking a flexible setup with a high-quality workflow, but who do not have the space for large club players.
To ensure the best possible fit for small modular setups, attractive wooden side panels for the CDJ-1500X will be available at a later date. Combined with the matt black finish, the players look timelessly stylish even when paired with vintage and rotary mixers.
