Inside, the ear-enclosing Austrian Audio Hi-X55 headphones score with 44mm Hi-X drivers that have been developed from scratch and feature a self-developed ring magnet system that has been used in many award-winning Austrian Audio headphones in the past. The High Excursion technology provides improved airflow and the strongest magnetic field in its class. This system, in combination with a copper-clad aluminum voice coil, reduces the weight of the diaphragm and the voice coil mounted on it allowing for faster movements and directional changes. In short, the result is a much improved processing of impulse peaks, ideal for modern as well as traditional music productions. Added to this is a specially developed double acoustic wall which ensures the best damping results.
