Befaco 's Slew module is a voltage-controlled lag processor and slope detector that smoothes control voltages of all kinds. Slew transforms stepped notes into smooth acid slides with independent speeds for high and low notes. The same applies to control voltages, which are smoothed out at different speeds for lower and higher voltages. If you feed in a Gate instead of a control voltage, the module acts as an attack/sustain/release envelope. The Shape Control knob helps to balance the speed in relation to the input signal, allowing a faster tempo while gliding to other notes, enabling time-compensated portamento. The Rise and Fall values can be modulated together or either/or via CV, which leads to surprising results and brings the results close to a function generator.
