The Katana-500 Bass Head is a powerful bass amplifier that not only impresses with a wide range of setting options but is also equipped with over 60 Boss effects and modern "quality-of-life" features. Despite its compact design, the portable Class D design top unit achieves a maximum output of 500 watts and ensures optimum sound with flexible setting options, no matter which genre is preferred. In addition to a 4-band EQ, high- and low-pass filters, an innovative cab resonance function for optimum adaptation to any cabinet and a vintage and modern amp feel option, the Katana-500 Bass Head offers a USB interface for playing recordings directly into a DAW as well as connections for the optional GA-FC Foot Controller and Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter.

The perfect bass sound for your genre

When it comes to sound flexibility, the Katana-500 Bass Head makes no compromises and offers a full range of effects and EQ options. In total, the bass top comes with over 60 original Boss effects including compressor, drive, FX and blend controls. The extensive 4-band EQ comes with a bass, low-mid, high-mid and treble control, allowing the mid-range ratio in particular to be dynamically adjusted. For an authentic tube feel, the amp feel switch can be used to select between Vintage amp or modern amp feel. The Vintage Amp Feel option delivers classic tube voicing, while the Modern Amp Feel option provides more dynamic feedback and an extended low-end. With the Katana-500 Bass Head, there is something for every genre and every sound taste.

USB interface, memory storage function and other highlights

Other highlights of the Katana-500 Head include a USB port for a direct connection to a PC or DAW and settings that can be saved using the memory button. Once the ideal sound has been found, it can be saved and used again and again for gigs or studio sessions without regular deviations in the sound. For even more convenience, the Katana-500 Head offers a shape selector switch for instant selection of mid-scoop, bright and extended range, switchable and programmable line outs as well as connections for the optionally available GA-FC foot controller and the Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual adapter.
