Naturally, the Boss VE-22 Vocal Performer also acts as an interface, providing singers with ideal connectivity with a wide range of applications such as studio recordings, live performances or the PA system in the rehearsal room.

Extensive effects section for vocals

The effects section of the Boss VE-22 Vocal Performer offers a wide range of options for refining your own singing voice with numerous interesting effects. These range from the intuitive equalizer, which gives the voice the right place in the frequency range of the band, to room-filling effects such as reverbs or echoing delay sounds, to experimental modulation and distortion effects. The VE-22 also features automatic pitch correction for minimal pitch adjustments or modern electronic sounds.

Polyphonic voices thanks to the Harmony function

To give the climax of the song additional depth, the Harmony section of the Boss VE-22 Vocal Performer can be used to add additional harmony voices. Despite its intuitive and easy-to-understand operation, the function offers numerous useful customization options. Once the underlying key of the song has been selected, the volume levels of the individual voices and the respective voicings, for example, can be precisely adjusted to your own preferences and called up at any time at the touch of a button.

Child's play operation

The user interface of the VE-22 was developed to reduce tedious fiddling around in confusing submenus and focus instead on creative work. The Boss VE-22 Vocal Performer features a colour display that is always easy to read, even on dark stages, and individual knobs for each section of the device for direct access to the most important setting options. Nevertheless, the sophisticated effects unit also allows meticulous deep Level editing of all parameters by double-clicking on the respective encoder.

The connection options on the rear make the VE-22's diverse features fully usable in almost any environment. In addition to the microphone input in XLR format with switchable phantom power, two XLR outputs can be used in either mono or stereo and are available for connection to numerous different devices such as audio interfaces, mixing consoles and much more. If you want to use the first-class sound quality of the VE-22 on its own, you can use a separate headphone connection. The Boss VE-22 Vocal Performer also features an aux input for playback devices and a connection socket for footswitches or expression pedals.
