With the Caroline Guitar Company Kilobyte the effect company from South Carolina presents a particularly versatile delay effect pedal for electric guitars, whose sound spectrum ranges from warm vintage delays to chaotic noise landscapes. This is due to the unique circuit with a booster in front of the delay chip, which causes increasing distortion in the echoes as the "Attack" knob is turned up, thus creating an authentic Lo-Fi character. The Havoc footswitch can also be used to temporarily drive the pedal into self-oscillation. In addition, the Caroline Guitar Kilobyte offers a modulation of the repetitions, the number and delay time of which are determined by the "Sum" and "Clock" controls.
