Versatile fuzz effect pedal for electric guitar and electric bass
With the Catalinbread Giygas, the effects company from Portland, Oregon has launched a particularly versatile fuzz effect pedal for electric guitar and electric bass. Three transistors in a completely analogue circuit provide extremely juicy fuzz sounds with a rich overtone spectrum and endless sustain. In addition to the active mids EQ, which adjusts the assertiveness and tone colour in the character-forming frequencies with up to 10 dB boost or cut, the Catalinbread Giygas also features a tilt EQ for emphasising low or high frequency ranges. Accordingly, the compact Catalinbread Giygas proves to be suited for almost any style of music between vintage rock, alternative or doom metal. In order to keep the pressure and the definition of the notes even in the most intense fuzz sounds, the Catalinbread Giygas Fuzz offers a blend control for infinitely variable mixing of the clean signal.
