Catalyst Audio Model 106

Catalyst Audio Model 106 is a mixer module for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format. The module is based on Model 106 from the Buchla 100 series and is a 6-channel mixer with six levelable inputs and four outputs. The outputs are divided into separate outputs for channels 1-3 and channels 4-6, as well as for all channels. The two summation outputs are inverted with respect to the group outputs, opening up complex possibilities. Based on transistors, the Catalyst Audio Modules operate with little headroom and provide richly warm, non-linear analog distortion, depending on the setting.

Buchla 100 series

The Buchla 100 series is the best known representative of the "West Coast synthesis" and was developed by Don Buchla in the sixties. Catalyst Audio's modules are true to original reproductions of the originals and are built completely discreetly from hand-picked components.
