Catalyst Audio Model 156V is a CV processor module for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format. The module is based on Model 156 from the Buchla 100 series and is intended as a front end for the Catalyst Audio Model 158. The Model 156V has two channels for processing audio or control voltages. Both channels can be used for mixing, offset or polarization of signals. Unlike the Catalyst Audio 156M module, the Model 156V cannot always guarantee the 1V/Oct standard.
The Buchla 100 series is the best known representative of the "West Coast synthesis" and was developed by Don Buchla in the sixties. Catalyst Audio's modules are true to original reproductions of the originals and are built completely discreetly from hand-picked components.
