One of the connectors features the innovative silentPLUG technology, allowing completely silent plugging and unplugging—a must-have for live situations.

Visually, this cable is a real showstopper. Its neon green color really pops in the dark, enhanced by UV-reactive threads woven into the fabric jacket. Under black light, the cable glows with a psychedelic effect that instantly adds flair and a unique vibe to any stage setup.

Beyond its eye-catching look, the CGK 150 offers top-tier performance thanks to high-quality materials and smart design. It features double shielding—a combination of an effective spiral shield and a conductive plastic shield—that effectively blocks interference and reduces microphonic noise. With a conductor cross-section of 0.5 mm²—double that of standard instrument cables—it ensures clean, crisp signal transmission every time.

Neutrik connector

The cable is finished off with 6.3 mm mono jacks from Neutrik, renowned for their durability and flawless performance. Their solid construction and corrosion-resistant gold-plated contacts guarantee maximum reliability. The instrument end features a silentPLUG connector for smooth, noise-free operation.

What is a silentPLUG?

Anyone who’s plugged or unplugged an instrument knows the loud, unpleasant pop or crackle that often follows—a noise that’s not only annoying but can potentially damage amps or even drumheads. Unfortunately, it can happen quicker than you’d expect. A silentPLUG solves this problem by muting the signal at the exact moment you plug or unplug the cable, making the instrument change almost completely silent. Neutrik’s design uses a small, movable magnetic switch inside the connector that briefly shorts the signal and ground, preventing the noise. This switch is hermetically sealed to keep it safe and reliable.

To handle heavier use, the silentPLUG is built with Neutrik’s trusted collet strain relief, which ensures the cable stays secure, while the rubber jacket adds excellent shock resistance.

Important: The silentPLUG is designed for use only on the instrument side. Plugging it into an amplifier output can cause damage!

Note: On active electric basses with tip-ring-sleeve connectors that use the ring to power the instrument, the signal is not muted by the silentPLUG.
