EYESY from Critter & Guitari is a specialized tool that generates exciting visuals from incoming audio material. The practical device continuously analyses the audio signal and generates matching, constantly varying visualizations. These patterns can be saved as your own favorites and even screenshots can be extracted. A screenshot could even become the basis for the next album cover. The graphic patterns can be manipulated and fine-tuned not only with the knobs and buttons available on EYESY, but also via incoming MIDI data. MIDI can be fed in using the USB-WIFI adapter supplied or the separately available TRS adapter. Imagine modulating two parameters cyclically via MIDI LFO from Ableton while EYESY listens to the dance track... The lively collages are transmitted to a monitor or TV via the HDMI output with a resolution of 720p or 1080p and the composite output in PAL or NTSC format. There is also no reason not to use the device with a video projector at your next live gig to impress the audience even more. If that's not enough, you can create your own modes with the browser-based editor thanks to the open platform.

New graphics through artificial intelligence

At the beginning of 2024, Critter & Guitari published an AI-based EYESY mode generator. This offers a simple chat interface: you tell the chatbot what you want, e.g. "draw black and white vertical stripes, every third stripe is red" and the AI outputs a code that can be copied and pasted directly into the EYESY web editor.
