The EPS technology and higher 11-50 gauge makes the guitar to have a more powerful sound without making it less bright or compressed. My epiphone casino has upgraded handmade pickups, but together with these strings I finally got the sound I was looking for. It sound closer to a gibson ES-335 which is semi-hollow guitar as it has a solid block in the middle of the guitar body. So, I got the best tones, sounds of both g,uitars types.
