To protect guitar strings from the wear and tear of sweat, dirt and corrosion, D'Addario developed a novel coating process. The microscopically thin, moisture-repellent coating, which does not affect tone or feel, provides three times longer durability and a sustained comfortable feel. Higher tensile strength and tuning stability also contribute significantly to the long durability of XSABR1047-12 guitar strings for 12-string Western guitar.

From the production of the base material to the coating and winding of the strings, D'Addario produces everything in its own factory.
