To protect guitar strings from the wear and tear of sweat, dirt and corrosion, D'Addario developed a novel coating process. The microscopically thin, moisture repellent coating, which does not affect tone or feel, provides three times longer durability and a consistently comfortable touch. Higher tensile strength and excellent tuning stability also contribute significantly to the long lifespan of the XSABR1047 acoustic guitar strings.

From producing the base material to coating and winding the strings, D'Addario carries out every step in its own factory.
